Have tried it on two different computers with same result.
1) Mach version: 3.043.062 (MSM 2.04) 2) Pro (Trial) - Mill mode 3) Windows version: W7, 64bit 4) Interface: SmoothStepper 5) Are any plug-ins installed? No

Hi, that's a bit odd - I don't see that with either MSM 2.0.4 (the production release) or 2.0.4.2 (the beta release). Both test I just did were in licensed mode, there is a small chance this is dependent on being in trail license mode but I can't test that until tues when I get back to the office as I'm out of town and don't have those tools with me.
in the mean time please try these steps:
1) reinstall MSM 2.0.4 over itself - this will correct any corrupted script file.
2) use the tooling page load button to load one of the sample tool tables installed with MSM - for example the MSM happy face tools. then try the edit button again - does it now work ok? if so, this will tell me there might be a case of an error in the internal mach tool table data handling that the edit code is not handling correctly.

If you would not mind, I'd appreciate it if you would email me your mach tool table file - it will help me try to reproduce what you are reporting.
The file is C:\Mach3\macros\<name of the profile you are running MSM with>\tools3.dat

An update for readers following this thread: This has turned out to be a rare bug with the way the Cypress basic interpreter handles international format numbers (Andre's PC is running Swedish country settings and uses "," as the decimal point character).
I've found a way to code around the cypress bug, but I am not sure that I should change the way the dialog works..... and I'd like input from non-US mach users about this.
The basic problem reported is that when a PC is set to a country that uses "," as the decimal point, you can not enter a number in the tool edit dialog box with the "," as the decimal point.
Effectively, the dialog always uses (and requires) the use of "." as the decimal point. I could make the dialog handle international number format settings, but this would be inconsistent with mach itself (Mach always displays numbers in DROs with "." as the decimal point char - and it does this no matter what the country setting in windows is).
So... which is better? a) make the tool edit dialog the same as the rest of Mach ("." only)? b) make the dialog input parsing depend on the PC country setting (and then this dialog would be differnet from the rest of mach)

Hi all,
I have confirmed with ArtSoft that Mach3 does not have support for Windows country settings. This means that all DRO numbers in Mach are formatted as US English values.
Given this, I have decided not to change the Tool Edit dialogs to handle other country number formats. If that were to be done, then those parts of MSM would not be consistent with the rest of Mach. The decision is that User Interface consistency is better than only partial international support.
