Try Load a program Edit the program Save Error message: Cannot save as the program is currently being used by another user.
Verified it does work if using Mach 3 Screenset but not MSM. O/S: Win 7 MSM Latest Beta

mach version in use? what program are you using as the gcode editor? Any command line arguments being passed to the editor? If so I need to know what they are.

OK, I found it. The problem is that mach opens the gcode file in exclusive mode. When the gcode editor was started from within mach.exe, this is ok. When I added the external gcode editor the editor is no longer a mach process and so could not always save the changes. I've fixed it in 1.3.13
I'll send you a private email with a link to the 1.3.13 version to test. If it fixes it for you also (works for me), I'll post an MSM update.

I ran into this too.
Closing the loaded G-code in MSM let me save the altered code.
