Am attempting to update Mach 3 from ver .037 to .062. Downloaded .062 from the site.
Windows message appears stating that it may not have installed correctly and offers to re-install in compatibilty mode. Have tried both options but on running triggers an error-1.
Retry yields the same result and finally you must cancel. Win 7, multiple computers. Going to .062 specifically for lathe.
Anybody else experienced this issue. John

John, I've not seen this, but then I don't run mach on win 7 - though I know many others do. I believe you need PP driver for your setup - so you are using win 7 32 bit - correct? (PP driver will not run on win 7 64 bit).
As this is a mach vs windows issue, I'd suggest two things: 1) DL mach 3.43.62 from machsupport just to make sure there is no difference between file from mach support and the one from CVI site.
2) get the exact install error msg and post a question to Yahoo mach list - brian reads the yahoo list, but tends not to read the machsupport web based forums.

Well.... the 3.43.62 file on the machsupprot site as of today today, is not the same as the 3.43.62 file that I had from before.... the two files have significant differences when binary comparison is done and they are different sizes. I hate it when a file is changed but the version number is not changed - as it makes it really, really hard to track this stuff.
I've pulled a copy of the 3.43.62 from the machsupprot site and used it to update the one I had on the CVI site.
