Seems there is a catch 22. Old computer died. Copied backup to new computer. When Mach is started on the new computer it trys to start MSM but as its unlicensed it shuts down. Does not provide the capability to de-activate old and re-activate new. Have wasted enough time trying t o recover and do not want to recreate profiles etc. Any easy workaround available Tks John XP MSM ver 2.0.0

John, Uh, it's working as it's supposed to.... Copying MSM from PC 1 to PC 2 will not cause PC 2 to become activated - as PC2 is not PC1... You can't use PC2 to deactivate PC1 (as PC1 has to be the one to talk to the license server to say "deactivate THIS PC".
The answer in this infrequent situation of a PC died is to contact CVI as you've done. I'll email the info you need to you directly.
