Alan, If I'm reading your question correctly, what you desire to be able to do is: 1) You would like the "real control" PC to be allowed under an MSM license, AND 2) you would also like the license to allow (a 2nd) "sim mode" PC to also be covered by the single license.
The short answer is I'm looking for a reasonable solution to the situation. I hope the answer will come out "yes" - I'm trying to make that happen - but I won't make a public commitment to that answer right now. The final answer will have to wait for completion of the survey analysis, and the implementation of changes resulting from it. The issue of "how many PCs are included in one license" is bound up with that task.
FYI - an underlying challenge is that a "sim PC" is not an identifiable case - it's just a PC running mach. As far as I can tell, mach itself does not know that a Sim PC is a sim PC.
BTW - I don't expect to be able to know more until after Xmas; Family is coming into town to visit and my available time for MSM stuff will be limited during much of this week.
Dave
