Hi Dave just a small problem , this is when I am on the Tooling page of MSM if I press the Load button I get the message Continue with TT I press OK which brings up another box which gives me two options now whatever one I select I get a message at the top of screen saying , Tool Table vs. Current Setup Units Mismatch and underneath that is some more writing but cannot read that , apart from that all is going well even my auto tool changer is still working fine Thanks Alan

Hi Alan, Let's see if we can find this for you - Hi Dave just a small problem , this is when I am on the Tooling page of MSM if I press the Load button I get the message Continue with TT I press OK which brings up another box which gives me two options After the "continue with TT load" dialog, the next thing you should see is the "Browse to Tool Table" dialog - from this you select a tool table to load. After the tool table file is opened, the logic does a check to see that the tool table's units (inch vs mm) are the same as the machine's setup units. Since mach assumes that all tool table info is in "machine set up units" - MSM checks to make sure we're not about to put numbers that are off by a factor of 25.4 into mach's internal tool table. I suspect the message you are seeing is the one that MSM uses to alert you of this mismatch. The question I need to figure out is why a mismatch has occurred... now whatever one I select I get a message at the top of screen saying , Tool Table vs. Current Setup Units Mismatch and underneath that is some more writing but cannot read that , apart from that all is going well even my auto tool changer is still working fine Thanks Alan To get the full message, please click the history button at the top of a screen to open Mach's history log - the entire message should in the log. Please let me know what the full message says. Next two questions: 1) what are the setup units of the machine (mm or inches)? 2) what tool table were you loading and where did it come from? 3) have you changed setup units on the machine or do you use more than one profile to switch between configurations with different setup units? All tool tables saved from a given machine are (or should be) stored on disk in the machine's setup units, so they should never differ re units. Can you post or email the tool table that is giving the problem? I want to check the data in the tool table. One idea: the sample table installed with MSM is in inches (and your post has made me realize that I don't supply a mm sample table - I should). If you have a mm machine and attempt to load the inch sample tool table, you would get just what you describe. Dave

Hi Dave I only use MM and never swap over to Inches , it was the sample tool table that I was trying to open , so now I can understand why I kept getting the message Units Mismatch , problem solved Thanks Alan

Alan, OK, that was easy I'm going to do two things in the next release: 1) I added a dialog box to show this message so that it can be seen w/o being cut off by the limited mach message area. 2) I'm going to add a mm sample table and improve the sample file names to make it obvious what units the sample tables are.
