As stated in the machsupport forum, I am getting a threat warning from ESET. The ESET popup comes just as it finishes downloading the file. Best Regards Fernando

Hi Fernando, Thanks for coming over here for this topic (I'm trying to be a good neighbor on machsupport and direct MSM stuff here - your assistance with that is appreciated).
For others reading this thread, I'll repeat the core of my post that was over there:
Re: Announcement: MachStdMill beta release is available for download Hi,
We use Kaspersky for virus protection and the MSM files are scanned prior to upload to the web site. They were clean when uploaded.
After seeing your post, I downloaded a copy of beta 14 form the CVI web site and rescanned it - is scans clean.
As there have been many DLs of beta 14 in the last two days, and I have no other reports of an issue of this type, my first thought it to wonder about a false positive from ESET - but we want to be sure - so I'd like some more information please:
When exactly do you get this warning? Literally when the file has just finished downloading (I.e. when most checkers then run a scan on a new file)? Or is the message occurring when running the install program itself?

Fernando, I saw you had posted this on machsupport:
I scan all the files in the MSM build dir before doing a beta build for release, I then scan the resulting installer file again before uploading to the web site. (I really hate virus writers and don't ever want to put out software that a virus got into).
I'm pretty confident in Kaspersky for virus checking and I believe the beta 14 installer file is safe.
Since you see the message at download file close time, I think you are most likely seeing a false positive from ESAT.
If you had seen the message while running the MSM installer, I had another idea to consider, but that is not relevant given when you see the message.

Just so Fernando doesn't feel too weird, I also use ESET and I get the same warning when downloading the distro. It's okay, its just that ESET is very cautious. One of the things I like about it.

I use ESET and get the same error when I down load RC1. Clicking the "take no action" allows the dow load to finish OK. Calum
